This character represents a Spanish spoiled boy, he is so lazy and foolish that no one takes him seriously. The word “Gracejo” means clown; Indigenous people mocked these abundant characters during the colonization. The traditional “Gracejo” masks have a big smile on their faces, extraordinary hair and sometimes an idiotic look on the eyes. Notice the gracefully carved teeth that give the piece the classic Gracejo look. Gold decorated teeth demonstrate the character’s social status, he is a wealthy man. Great hair carvings are highlighted by two horn-like, almost evil, curls. Red dots on cheeks, forehead and nose indicate sunburn. Golden painted eyebrows, beard and moustaches symbolize the European origin. Patina on the back denotes use. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping!
