One panel Saint’s Offering woven on a back strap loom. The piece has four selvedge ends. The designs are woven in. The piece has one damage on one of the sides. Zoomorphic designs: turkeys, sacrificed turkeys, magical figure (rooster’s body with Cyclops doll head), birds and ixcanel worm. Geometrical designs: corn plant, feather serpent and venus.
Age: Approximately woven in the early 1950’s
Ethnic Group: Kakchiquel
Origin: San Pedro Sacatepéquez, Guatemala
Materials: Cotton, and silk; natural dyes: indigo.
