This character represents a Spanish soldier; a captain or a simple combatant. During the Dance, they will fight against the Mayan Warriors. Notice the golden painted carved hair and moustaches. Light brown curly hair and moustaches are nicely carved. Notice the gracefully brown painted eyebrows that highlight the beautiful black eyes. Sunburned cheeks, ears, forehead and nose denote the European origin of the character. The many layers of paint have many fissures caused by use during the fiestas; especially the nose and chin.
