Two panel Saint’s Tzutewoven on a back strap loom. The piece has four selvedge ends. Both panels are joined with a fine hand embroidered “Randa”. Probably the textile was framed with lace, but it was removed. The designs are woven in. The green background is woven with indigo plus (green color). It has a legend embroidered “recuerdo de maria de leon el 7 de octubre de 1940 JT”. Geometrical designs: tree of life (on each corner). Zoomorphic designs: Ixcanel worm, dogs, birds and rabbits.
