One panel baby cap woven on a back strap loom. The indigo (blue) background is made with hand spun cotton. The piece shows three selvedge ends, the fourth has a hand embroidered seam. All the designs are woven in using two brocading techniques: one face brocading technique and the double face brocading technique (“marcador”). Zoomorphic patterns: birds and ducks. Geometrical patterns: planets, candle holders, zigzag and stars.
