A singular three panelled Huipil woven on a back strap loom with 4 selvedge ends. This ceremonial huipil is woven with the original white and red striped background colour. The cotton used for the background is hand spun white cotton. The neckline is cut out decorated with a hand embroidered finishing. The piece is completely brocaded with designs: geometric designs: planets Venus, mountains, zigzag – feather serpent and “quix” patterns (rhombuses); zoomorphic designs: pelicans, birds and double headed eagles. This piece shows some reparation, because of age.
