Two panelled Huipil woven on a back strap loom. Huipiles from San Jose Poaquil are very similar to the Huipiles from Comalapa. They might have the same background colour, but their brocade is going to be thicker, bigger and not so detailed. They also don’t have a wide red weft band that decorates the upper section of the huipil. This huipil from Poaquil is brocaded with wool and cotton and shows geometrical patterns. These sections are intercepted by multicoloured stripped lines. Notice the four selvedge ends for both panels. The v neckline is formed by the union of the two panels. All the colours are chemical dyes. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping!
