The Dance of “El Costeño” tells the story of highlanders that go to the Pacific Coast during the har season to earn an extra income. Since the coast is warmer, their skin turns red. This character is called “Viejito”, old man. The trademark of these masks is the horse hair attached to the character’s face and the angry look, showing their teeth. Hair, moustache and beard give the piece a genuine look. Golden teeth tell us that he is a wealthy man. Notice the gracefully black painted eyelashes and eyebrows that highlight the black eyes. Patina on the back denotes use. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping.
