Two paneled “Mortaja” or shroud woven on a foot loom. In Momostenango it is the tradition to cover the dead body with a special shroud. So when the body is inside the casket, which is going to be open for the viewing, the corpse is bounded with the mortaja to show just the face. This Tzute is decorated with blue (indigo) background and checkered with cuyuscate (natural brown cotton) and white stripes. All the dyes and materials come from natural sources. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping!
