This is a rare Squirrel Mask from Rabinal; it is light brown painted and has a hole in the chin, probably to add actual animal hair for the character. The beautiful painted eyes are decorated with a concentric yellow and red circles and surrounded by tiny black eyelashes. The nose and cheeks have gracefully painted black and white details to represent fur. The snout is highlighted by black moustaches and red nose holes and white lips.
