The huipil is woven in 2 panels on a back strap loom.  The piece shows a 4 selvedge ends.  The warp background is woven with cotton and shows a red background and warp lines.   The opening for the head shows 2 half-moons made with blue cotton cloth and mercerized cotton embroidery.  The randa is embroidered with wool. Designs: geometric: phases of the moon, flores and curly patterns known as “fichitas”
