One paneled polyester fabric huipil with fine hand embroidery. In this village the women do not weave any more but are very skillful doing embroideries. This huipil is crowned whit many animal motives like:  Quetzal bird, rabbit, squirrels, birds, deer, peacock, lion, fish, cat, rooster, butterfly, raccoon, pig, hen, and goat. These animals represent the expended variety of the Guatemalan fauna. The neckline decoration represents the sun giving life and heat to the Mother Earth. In former times the walls of the church of San Andres Xecul were decorated with the same type of multicolored motives symbolizing huge suns with the forest fauna. All the colours are chemical dyes. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping!
