On December 7th Guatemalan people celebrate the famous \"Quema del Diablo\" – Burning of the Devil, a purification ritual before the start of Christmas Celebrations. In Ciudad Vieja, the former Capital of Guatemala in 1587, a city very close to Antigua Guatemala they honour the Virgin of Conception on December the 8th and dancing groups dressed with red and black costumes will perform in the drama of the “24 Devils”, a battle between the Archangel Gabriel, Death and a Legion of 24 Devils for a Soul. This mask has a black background highlighted by thick red stripes that give the piece a striking look. The eyebrows, eyes, nose, and beard are also red painted; notice the nicely done teeth carvings highlighted by huge white tusks and the horns that magnify the evil look of the character. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping.
