Ceremonial Conquistador Mask used during the Dance of the Conquest. This character represents a Spanish soldier; a captain or a simple combatant. During the Dance, they will fight against the Mayan Warriors. Black hair, sideburns and moustaches are nicely carved. Notice the gracefully painted eyebrows and eyelashes that highlight the brown glass eyes. High relieve carved flower decorations on both sides decorate his head. Patina on the back denotes use.
