This character represents a sunburned cowboy from the Pacific Coast. This region is famous for its cattle and farms. Many highlanders come to the coast looking for an extra income and work during the harvest season in the lower lands. High relieve carved moustaches give the piece a serious look. Notice the thick eyebrows, white painted eyes highlight the mirror eyes; a rare detail on a Guatemalan Masks. The backside of the piece shows the hardness of the wood. This Vaquero or Cowboy appears in the “Baile Convite”, a disguises parade. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping.
