You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Beautiful Old Ceremonial Conquistador Mask used during the Dance of the Conquest. This character represents a Spanish soldier; a captain or a simple combatant. During the Dance, they will fight against the Mayan Warriors. Notice the beautiful colonial style carvings with painted hair, sideburns, eyebrows, tiny eyelashes, beard and moustaches. Sunburned ears, nose and cheeks; red lips and pale blue glass eyes give this Conquistador a unique look. The use that the piece had is shown in the incredible backside patina and the many different layers of paint that tells the many adventures and events that this piece has overcome.
