This piece has an elegant black background highlighted with delicate white dots. Notice the plastic eyes surrounded by red circles that combined with masterly carved ears give the piece a special look. A prominent snout has red nose and mouth details. Patina on the back denotes use. Monkeys are present in almost every Ceremonial Dance; they act as buffoons and have the important roll of collecting money from the public for the Religious Brotherhood that sponsors the event.
