This character represents a cowboy from the Pacific Coast. This region is famous for its cattle and farms. Many highlanders come to the coast looking for an extra income and work during the harvest season in the lower lands. High relieve carved hair and painted moustaches and sideburns give the piece a serious look. Notice the thick eyebrows, black painted seed-made eyes that highlight the looks of this hard working cattleman; a rare detail on a Guatemalan Masks.
