The following item belongs to the range of “Antique and Rare Items of the Casa de Artes’ Treasures Series”. Old gorgeous colourful painted bull mask with dots and stripe details allover. The mask has marble-made eyes, leather ears and real bull horns that are decorated with to Mexican Peso Coins from the 1970´s. Notice the red and white painted crosses in the snout and forehead that show the main day when the mask is used, May 3rd the day of the Holy Cross or “Santa Cruz”. Both snout and forehead are highlighted with dots. Many different layers of paint and patina on the back denote lots of use and age in this rare colorful mask.
Age: Approximately carved in the 1920’s.
