Nebaj will characterized in its textiles, because they always show geometric and coloured designs. This huipil is woven in two panels, on a back strap loom. The patterns are woven in, using the one face brocading technique with cotton. The round neck opening, represents the sun and is decorated with four semi circles that represent each a half-moon. All of it is an embroidery decoration. The geometric designs represent Maya cross, rhombuses for stars or planets, triangles, feather serpent, corn plant and mountains. It also shows zoomorphic designs: birds and mules.
