This character represents a very important Mayan Chief, his name is “Huitzizil Tzunum”, that means Humming Bird. This character is carved in a famous Mayan Stella in the Archeological site of Copán, Honduras. The piece is surrounded by multicolor petals, and in the center the face of the character that represents the humming bird. This Mayan Chief leads the warriors into the fight with the Spanish Conquistadores. Notice the nicely painted humming bird in the character’s forehead.
