This character represents a cowboy from the Pacific Coast. This region is famous for its cattle and farms. Many highlanders come to the coast looking for an extra income and work during the harvest season in the lower lands. High relieve carved hair, beard, moustaches and sideburns give the piece a serious look. Notice the thick eyebrows, black glass eyes that highlight the looks of this hard working cattleman. The backside of the piece shows the hardness of the wood smoothened by the constant use during the ceremonies. This Vaquero or Cowboy appears in the “Baile Convite”, a disguises parade. The different layers of paint as well as an incredible backside patina tell the many adventures and events that this piece has overcome. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping.
